Free Trade with Europe (CETA): what’s in it for us?
This workshop will explain the content of this major Trade Agreement, what it means for Canadian businesses, and how to benefit from it!
This September marks the 8th anniversary of CETA, a landmark Free Trade Agreement between Canada and the European Union, signed in October 2016 and provisionally implemented on September 21, 2017.
Despite the opportunities it offers, CETA remains underused by Canadian companies, even though it provides a powerful tool to diversify export markets and reduce reliance on the US.
A hybrid session (in person and online) will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, to help participants better understand the content and potential of this major Trade Agreement, and how to take advantage of it, particularly in the trade of goods.
The webinar will cover:
The structure and key provisions of CETA;
The benefits and practical implications for Canadian businesses;
Guidance on accessing and developing markets within the European Union.
This event will be of particular interest to companies and professionals involved in international trade, especially importers and exporters of tangible goods wishing to expand beyond the US market.
